Katherine Audrey Hoad is a film based photographer who specialises in using Polaroids. Her work is largely documentary with nostalgic themes. Inspired by her passion for history she often uses archival image to influence and accompany her work. The projects she produces aim tell a story from her own perspective despite them often not being a unique experience.
Katherine gained a degree in Photography from Plymouth College of Art in 2020. During her time at University her influences included the likes of Angela Kelly and Marc Wilson. Her recent works include ‘Lest We Forget’ which explores Cornwalls’ and her own personal connection to World War Two along with ‘VE Day 2020’ which documented how her village celebrated the 75th Anniversary of this momentous event despite lockdown rules. Born in Oxford, Katherine now resides in the Cotswolds seeking out her next project.
